Ms Sarah Banenya Mugalu

Sarah holds masters of law degree in international legal studies from American University, Washington College of Law, Washington DC, and a Bachelor’s Degree in law from Makerere University and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre, Kampala and a diploma in legislative drafting from international law institute and development

associates Inc Kampala. She is an associate principal lecturer at the law development centre Kampala and the chief executive and planner of the faculty of Law at the Kampala International University. She has been responsible for the development of the LLM program at KIU. Sarah has worked as a Senior State Attorney in Ministry of Justice, Kampala Uganda and also served as the Executive Director of FIDA Uganda. She has developed a series of training materials and represented vulnerable groups in courts of law. Ms Banenya brings to PLA the experience in public interest litigation, management of growing NGO’s.
