On 31st July 2018, Naigaga Teopista, a 36 year old resident of Kasokoso Iganga reported a case of child neglect at the PLA Iganga office. In her words she narrates:

“My child’s father neglected me after giving birth and even refused to give our child a name. I shared my concern with the LC1 Chairperson but he did not help. On the 2nd August 2018, mediation was called by the a PLA lawyer and it turned out to be successful. The father of my child agreed to give her a name, a memorandum of understanding was signed and he has been providing her with the basic needs like food, clothing and medication since then. I am very grateful to PLA for helping my child get a name and for persuading her father to provide for her at zero cost.”
