Joyce Tino Linda, a 38 year old resident of Janda, Namugongo Wakiso District was unfairly terminated by a School after working as a teacher for two years.

She shared her issue with a neighbor, a former PLA staff member who advised her to seek legal aid at PLA. In September 2018, she came to PLA and shared her legal challenges with the lawyer. The lawyer held mediation with the former employer who agreed to pay her 1.7 million shillings as payment in lieu of unfair termination. She received the payment in December 2018 and used the money to pay school fees for her son since she happens to be a single mother. She is very thankful to PLA for helping her get justice without pay and urges them to continue with the good work.
